Sonal Khullar is an art historian who writes on modern and contemporary art from South Asia, with a particular interest in histories of cosmopolitanism, postcolonial art worlds, and critical historiographies of art. At Radcliffe, she will work on a book on art and war in Sri Lanka across the long 20th century that proposes new ways for understanding the aesthetics and politics of remembrance, recovery, and reconstruction in postcolonial societies.
