Holly Jean Buck is an interdisciplinary social scientist who works across geography, environmental science, and media studies to understand how people engage with emerging climate and energy technologies. At Radcliffe, she will work on a book about how rural communities have tried to manifest new future-oriented industries, with a particular focus on climate and energy tech, and why these efforts to summon the future through innovation succeed or fail.
